Pup Culture - Staying the Course

Paws & Effect™

Take a moment. Make a difference.

We raise, train and place service dogs for a variety of disabilities.

We provide Pet Partners for animal assisted activities and animal assisted therapy.

We run NADAC sanctioned dog agility competitions as fund raisers for our programs.

We have several unique Pet Partner programs that we are very excited about.

Literacy programs (reading programs for children) at Beaverdale Books, in partnership with the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines Family Series events and with the schools and libraries across the state.

Another program that stands out is the Abilities Through Agility Program at ChildServe. This program integrates dog agility with physical, occupational, and speech therapy in a group environment. Ultimately, we strive to expand this program to make it a future event at the Special Olympics.

Additionally, we have Pet Partner teams at these facilities:
• Burlington Alcohol & Drug Dependency Services
• Great River Mental Health Care Associates
• Iowa Heart
• Windsor Manor - Alzheimer's Unit
• 3801 Grand
• St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids
• Iowa Hospice
• Ames 4-H

We are raising service dogs that will be trained to help individuals with special needs.
